Getting to Kerry

The three main entry points into Kerry are Tralee and Killarney which are both served by train (www.irishrail.ie)  and bus links (www.buseireann.ie) and Farranfore which is the home of Kerry Airport.

Where are you going? We will arrange transport for you from Tralee or Farranfore if you are travelling on to Dingle. If you are planning on walking the KerryWay or travelling to South Kerry then we will arrange transport from Killarney or Farranfore.

Where are you coming from?

Dublin
Dublin is the capital city of Ireland and is well served with international flights. If you fly into Dublin, there are a number of options to reach Kerry. There are bus, train and air connections. We would advise either flying or taking the train. There are generally two flights a day and five trains a day. Trains arrive in both Tralee and Killarney. Shannon
Shannon is well served by international flights. www.shannonairport.com . A bus shuttle service operates between Shannon and Limerick City. From Limerick there are many train and bus connections to Kerry. (see telephone numbers listed below.)

Getting to Shannon by bus. Buses leave Tralee at 6.15, 8.00, 9.00 and Killarney at 9.00. The journey to shannon takes 2hours 10 mins. There is a bus going to the airport every hour on the hour and the jopurney takes 40 mins. So the 9.00 from Killarney will get you to Shanonn at 12.10.+

Cork
Cork is served by international flights and a ferry service. www.cork-airport.com There are many bus and train connections from Cork to Kerry. (see telephone numbers listed below.)
